She Needs to Sort Out Her Priorities

What’s New?

Writing has first priority at the moment, so I’m more or less ignoring everything else. I went to work, obviously, because money, but university is a mess. I haven’t had time to write my term paper, which wouldn’t be that horrible if it weren’t for the fact that I have no clue how late would be too late to hand it in. I also dropped a lecture, but I don’t feel bad about that, because I wasn’t that interested in it, and I replaced it with a three day seminar in January, when I will hopefully have more time to attend to mundane matters like getting my degree.

The only other interesting thing I did this week was to work on a radio show concept with my friend Verena, who got roped into the whole thing, because I thought it would be more fun together, and I had no clue what to do on my own. I think we came up with something good, so let’s hope it gets the green light next week!

I’m off to visit a friend for two days, which means I probably won’t be able to write, but I’m looking forward to the trip!

The Shiny

I’m still waiting on some books I got for university, but they’re taking their sweet time to arrive. To tide me over, I bought this album by Halsey, which is really good. Favorites: Castle, Hold Me Down and Ghost.

Tune of the Week

I just found this on a playlist earlier and quite liked it! Lyrics could be improved, but I like the overall sound of it a lot.

I’m linking up with the Sunday Post hosted by the Caffeinated Book Reviewer! You know, if I don’t forget again.

I tried to click on Halsey, but it took me to… Germany? I assume that is where I was anyway. I mean, I like Germany, but this particular visit lacked the history, AND the Dunkin Donuts (true story- I managed to find myself iced coffee at a Dunkin Donuts in Berlin. Like a boss.)

What even was I talking about? I don’t KNOW Vlora. My brain is just toast. Like I am writing about this depressed girl and she is making me even more messed up, because she’s also got teenager problems, and that is a mess I don’t need to get into now.

You also reminded me to check FB, which I hadn’t been on in forever, so I could see what was shakin in the writing group that I am excited to be in! I hope you have a great time with your friend- a much deserved break, my dear!

Hahahahaha this is definitely the comment of someone writing like they’re on fire. And I’ve seen your word count, go you, you’re doing great!! How did it take you to Germany? :D I think it’s maybe a German channel, because sometimes Vevo videos are hard to watch in Germany due to the endless fight over music rights. It was the only one I could find, sorry!

Oh god. I mean depression I can more or less deal with, but if I had to be a teenager again, I might have to set something on fire. The writing group is awesome! I’m so much more likely to write when I’m in a group of people who are doing the same thing. And I had a good time, thanks! I hope you have a great and productive week. :)

Good luck with your writing! How is it going so far? And that’s good you dropped the class you didn’t enjoy, it sounds better to follow something else instead. I hope you won’t be too late with that paper. I hope you have a great week!

Thanks, Lola! It’s going surprisingly well, actually. It’s definitely a learning experience, but that’s a good thing, I think. And yeah, dropping the class was definitely the right decision! You too, have an awesome week! :)

HALSEY. *Dances* I didn’t know anyone who liked her when I first started listening to her music, and suddenly there’s been a boom and the love is all around me. I don’t own her album, though. *cries* Thank goodness for Youtube and Spotify- what can I say. Her words and sounds and everything is awesome. WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE SONG AND HAVE YOU SEEN THE MUSIC VIDEOS. (Clearly my passions for Halsey run high. Also Melanie Martinez- have you listened to her? AND MARINA.)
